A workshop with the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), New Zealand Police, Students Against Dangerous Driving (SADD), and the Motorcycle Collective.

A group of school students at the Moped and Motorcycle Safety Workshop.

On Wednesday 27 March 2024, we held our first ever moped and motorcycle safety workshop at Wellington College. This course was organised in collaboration with ACC, New Zealand Police, SADD and the Motorcycle Collective.

This workshop gave young riders of Pōneke a comprehensive understanding of the importance of wearing personal protective gear, and crucial road rules governing moped and motorcycle usage. The Motorcycle Collective also provided hands-on experience to conduct essential maintenance checks to ensure that vehicles were safe for the road.

Further courses and training are available through the Ride Forever initiative by ACC.
