Autumn Our Wellington out this week

There's a lot going on right now in Wellington, with buildings going up, others being strengthened, and a whole lot of construction taking place at multiple locations across the city.

The autumn edition of Wellington City Council’s quarterly magazine, Our Wellington - Tō Tātou Pōneke, highlights that work and vibrancy as the capital city builds for our future.

The magazine is being delivered to letterboxes in Wellington this week, and will also be available at selected Council venues and facilities across the city.

It covers the period 1 April to 15 June.

At the heart of the magazine is a feature on the building taking shape at the heart of the city.

Tākina, our new Convention and Exhibition Centre, is shaping up to be immense, and with its flowing curved façades, the locally designed building’s unique shape is really coming to the fore.

There are also updates on a number of other major Council projects including the St James Theatre, Town Hall, Central Library, the Eastern Bays cycleway, and the Omāroro Reservoir.

We've also included important information about our Long-Term Plan and how you can have your say on what we prioritise for the city over the next decade.

Oh, and there are some great tips about autumn gardening, too.

So look out for your copy of Our Wellington - Tō Tātou Pōneke in your letterbox, and check out all the latest information about Council services, facilities and events this autumn.

Copies are also available at the following sites: Te Awe Library, Arapaki Service Centre, Waitohi Community Hub, Tawa Library, Newtown Library, ASB Sports Centre, Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, and the Wellington I-SITE on Wakefield St.

A PDF version will be available from 1 April on our website: https://wellington.govt.nz/news-and-events/news-and-information/our-wellington-magazine
