Description of proposal

The proposal is to stop a 142m2 portion of legal road in Turnbull Street, Thorndon.

Council has determined that it no longer requires this land for public road purposes and will exchange it for 22m2 of land it does need for road purposes in Turnbull Street to facilitate the construction of a vehicle turning area.

Once the road land is stopped it will be sold to the owner of 19-24 Turnbull Street, Thorndon and amalgamated with the title to their land. In exchange, Section 2 SO 524745 being 22m2 will be acquired by Council for road purposes.
