We would like the Wellington City Council to erect additional lighting in the pathway between the Lennell Street overbridge and Upper Watt Street. In particular, we request that two or three additional street lights be erected in that area, or, alternatively, a number of "safety lights" guiding up the path be instituted.
In our view, the safety of residents and other pedestrians using the pathway would be increased immensely if this request was accepted.
Background information
This issue affects residents and pedestrians in the area. We consider that having additional lighting around the pathway would allow safer use of the walkway.
