Funding Portal - apply online

When you log in to the Funding Portal, you can see:

• funding that's available now
• the status of your current funding application
• your history (previous funding requests and funding agreements)
• your reports on project outcomes (accountabilities).

Go to the Wellington City Council Funding Portal

• If you had an account in our previous funding portal Salesforce, it has been transferred to the new funding portal, Fluxx. Your username is your firstname_lastname, you will need to reset your password when you first login.
• If you are a new user, click on ‘Create an Account’.
• If you receive an error message when trying to access the funding portal on a mobile device, please use these instructions or contact the Funding Team.

Resetting your password

Go to the Wellington City Council Funding Portal

Click on the button ‘Reset or create password’

Use the navigation pane on the left side to move through the portal.

The viewing pane on the right will display the information you select.

Applying for a grant

1. Log in.
2. Click ‘Apply for funding’ in the left hand panel.
3. Click on the fund you’d like to apply for.
4. Fill out the form. Click ‘save and continue’ to submit application.

Saving applications 

Click ‘save and close’ at the bottom of the form to save your work and come back and complete it later.

Editing and re-submitting applications 

Any applications that have not been fully submitted will be in your draft applications, in the left hand navigation bar.  

Reviewing previous applications

In the left hand panel under Submitted applications.

Reporting on existing grants

1. Log into portal.
2. On the left hand panel, under Reports, click on Reports Due

Outcomes of multi year funding agreements (Contracts)

These are only visible to recipients of multi-year funding agreements. It is in the left hand panel under Grant Outcome.

• Individual account is your individual account.
• Organisation account is the organisation you are applying for grants for.
• Group accounts is the group (non-legal entity) you are applying for grants for.

Updating organisational/ personal details

• Click in the left hand panel at the bottom of the page under organisation/ people.
• Click on edit in the top right hand side of the page.

Updating bank account details 

• Click in the left hand panel under organisation.
• Click edit in the top right hand side of the page.

Legal status and details required

Charity: You must enter your Charity Registration Number in the box provided – enter a Charities Commission registration number or a NZ Companies Office registration number. 
Incorporated Society: You must enter your Incorporated Society Registration Number in the box provided – enter a Charities Commission registration number or a NZ Companies Office registration number. 
Limited Company: You must enter your organisation’s Company Number in the box provided. 
Body Corporate: You must enter your organisation’s Body Corporate Number in the box provided. 
Residents and Progressive Association: Make sure you tick the checkbox later in the form to confirm you are able to meet the Council’s requirements for a Residents and Progressive Association.
