Water Meters

Print Page

There are now about 1200 residential properties using water meters in Wellington. Meters can help you save on water rates because you pay for the volume you use (measured by the meter) instead of paying a targeted rate on the capital value of your property.

Since these users are often more conscious of consumption, the Council believes meters are an important tool for conservation efforts.

The cost of installing a meter depends on its location, installation requirements and meter size.
