With fewer people using the service centres (as people switch to paying their Council bills by other methods such as direct debit or online), we've reassessed how people manually pay their bills and the role of service centres.
You can now pay any barcoded Council invoice at your local PostShop using cash, cheque or EFTPOS and you will soon be able to pay City Council Housing, dog registration and sundry debtor invoices at your local PostShop by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
We selected New Zealand Post's PostShops as they provide more places for people to pay, have an established record of handling bill payments and offer a lower cost per transaction than we can provide in-house.
