Heritage pohutukawa trees on Holloway Road and Aro Street
Wellington City Council looks after about 160 heritage trees. Although some of these are on private property and owned by the property owner, the Council has adopted a caretaker role. Any enquiries about work on or around the trees should be directed to the Council.
We carry out the assessments, consultation and minor maintenance of the trees while working with the owners of the trees.
There are restrictions on activities with these trees. Depending on the extent of the work, resource consent may be needed.
