Business/Trade Parking

There are loading zones throughout the city to enable businesses to deliver and receive goods. Only vehicles designed and used for transporting goods and authorised vehicles can use the zones.

If you own or operate a vehicle and park it on the street to deliver to a business, you need to display a loading zone permit.

Applications

To apply you need to supply the Council with a letter saying why you need a permit for your business. This permit costs $55 (annual and renewable).

Suburb Trade Coupons

Suburb trade coupons allow trade vehicles to park in zones signposted as residents' and coupon parking areas. Vehicles displaying a suburb trade coupon can park in these zones Monday-Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm, excluding public holidays.

A book of five coupons costs $25. When you buy them you will need to show evidence of your trade, such as a business card or job sheet.

CBD Trade Coupons

Central Business District (CBD) trade coupons allow trade vehicles to park on meters or in areas where time restrictions apply, such as P5 areas. Vehicles displaying a CBD trade coupon can park in these zones Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays. You can purchase coupons for a half or full day.

Half day coupons for parking between 8.00am - 1.00pm, or 1.00pm - 6.00pm, Monday-Friday cost $20 each or $100 for a book of five.

Full day coupons for parking between 8.00am - 6.00pm, Monday-Friday cost $40 each or $200 for a book of five.
