The Council manages two marinas - Clyde Quay and Evans Bay - and seven boat ramps around Wellington.

Located at the south end of Evans Bay Parade, between Evans Bay Marina and Evans Bay Yacht Club. Usable in all weather conditions. Ramp has gentle slope with wooden piers. Ample car parking. |

Opposite Severn Street. Provides access to the south coast. Affected by wind and swell. |

North end of beach into river. Small boat access. |
The Clyde Quay and Evans Bay marinas are managed from the Evans Bay office.

There are often long waiting lists for berths at marinas. Check with the marina about mooring arrangements before buying a boat.
In Wellington harbour, commercial traffic and any vessels moving on the harbour at night use VHF Channel 14. Yacht clubs and the Volunteer Coastguard (when manned) use VHF Channel 62.
