Once you have been declared 'eligible' for housing assistance, you are placed on a waiting list.

The Council is unable to tell you exactly how long you will wait. The Council works hard to accommodate your needs in relation to the types of housing units available and the needs of others waiting.

While you're on the waiting list, we will send you a letter every three months asking if you are still interested in City Housing. At this stage, we can confirm your housing needs.

When a suitable property becomes available, we will contact you by phone or letter.
