The Council has revised the way its grants are structured in order to bring them more closely into line with its strategic direction. As a result, there are changes in the way grants are administered. The changes took effect 1 July 2006.
In order to simplify the system, many various grants have been combined into four general grant pools. There is one application form for all four general grant pools.

There are three general grant rounds each year - in July, November, and March. Groups can apply to any one of these rounds. Application forms are available six weeks prior to each closing date and free advice sessions are run by the grants team.
Groups are encouraged to make one focused application a year, rather than applying multiple times for different types of costs or activities.
