Volunteers working on revegetation
Volunteers provide valuable help with planting, working bees and in the nursery at Otari Wilton's Bush.
Volunteering is a great way to learn about plants and gardening, and is an important contribution to our community.
Volunteers help in many different ways. Their time and effort ranges from a few hours a month, to daily activity.
Weekends
The Otari-Wilton's Bush Trust needs volunteers to support the staff on a roster basis during the weekends.
- Hosts - provide visitors with general information about Otari-Wilton's Bush, events and public transport.
- Guides - run one organised tour each month on the fourth Sunday as well as specialised tours.
Weekdays
During the week volunteers perform light garden tasks such as potting and propagating plants, weeding and mulching. Volunteers help every Thursday morning from 8.30am to 12 noon.
