Wellington Regional Stadium has been confirmed as a venue for the Rugby World Cup 2011 quarter-finals on 8 and 9 October. It will also host five Rugby World Cup (RWC) pool matches from 11 September to 2 October.

About Wellington Regional Stadium

Situated on Wellington's waterfront, Wellington Regional Stadium is regarded as one of New Zealand's premier outdoor facilities for sporting and other events. The stadium will operate for RWC 2011 with a temporary seating capacity of 40,000 and offers a wide variety of seating options including corporate boxes.

Ticketing

Rugby New Zealand 2011 Ltd (RNZ 2011) is developing a ticketing strategy for RWC 2011. It expects to release details of the ticketing programme towards the end of 2009, with tickets going on sale globally in early 2010.

Ticket pricing will reflect the Tournament being the world's biggest sporting event in 2011. It is expected that prices will be similar to RWC 2007.
