The NZI International Rugby Sevens tournament was held at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on 31 January - 2 February 2008.

The tournament involved 16 international teams competing for points that go towards the International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens Series.

Street Events

A teams' parade was held on 31 January. The parade traveled from Parliament down Lambton Quay and Willis Street to Civic Square.

Rugby fans not at the stadium were able to watch the live televised Sevens games on a giant 40 square metre screen on Courtenay Place.
