The Council supports and promotes events of all sizes in Wellington city - from major corporate-sponsored events to smaller community events and programmes.

Major Events

The Council's Events team promotes, funds and supports major events in the city. The team also produces and delivers major Council events such as Summer City, Diwali and the Sky Show.

Contact the Event Project Manager for information on:

• funding support for major events from the Events Development Fund
• marketing and promotion of major events
• logistical and venue support
• help with feasibility studies and event bids
• advice on event planning, management and risk management
• coordination and facilitation of events.
