All cremations are carried out in accordance with the Burial and Cremation Act 1964.
Cremations normally take place Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 4.15pm. Special arrangements can be made for weekends and public holidays and for cremation outside of normal working hours but additional costs apply.
Fill out the Cremation Booking Form and give it to the Cemetery at least 24 hours before the scheduled cremation time. You can fax, post or hand-deliver forms.

The Application for Cremation is a statutory form the Cemetery needs to meet legal requirements.
You will also need to supply:
Permission to Cremate needs to be signed by a medical referee. Cemetery administration can assist you with this.
The Crematorium must receive original copies of these certificates at least four hours before the scheduled cremation.
The Crematorium must approve the casket before cremation. Caskets must be made of combustible material and the contents must comply with Crematorium guidelines to ensure safety and environmental responsibility. Please speak to Cemetery staff for details.
If there is to be no chapel service, caskets must be delivered to the Crematorium entrance. A technician will open the entrance 10 minutes before the scheduled cremation and wait for the casket.
Family and friends may request to view the charging of the casket. Make this request when you book the cremation.
Certificates of Cremation are available any time on request, and are available 24 hours after the cremation.
If you require any other services in addition to the cremation – such as hiring a chapel or purchasing a plot for an ash interment - you need to request them with your cremation request.
