RSS explained

RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication. It is a web-based system that allows users to receive new published content without having to visit individual websites or check emails.

One way you can get the latest Wellington City Council information is by using our RSS feeds.

Using RSS

  1. First you need to download a piece of software called an RSS Reader. There are many RSS Readers available on the internet.
The following link has a list of free RSS Readers available for download:
    RSS tools - Download.cnet.com
  2. Once you have downloaded an RSS Reader, go to the links above and copy and paste one or more of the Council's RSS feed addresses into your Reader.

The latest Council content will then be delivered to your RSS Reader, as it is published.
