In Stage 4: Implementation

Summary

Construction is now almost complete with the remaining jobs expected to be finished by September 2007.

A number of changes are being made to reduce speed and improve pedestrian links. These changes include:

• construction of kerb extensions
• alterations to road markings
• give way or stop controls at uncontrolled intersections
• installation of driver feedback signs

The consultation for the proposed 40km/h speed restrictions, planned for early 2008, has been deferred.
