In Stage 4: Implementation

Summary

The initial planned construction is now complete. The engineering changes include:

• 4 roundabouts
• 49 splitter islands
• 36 give way controls
• 2 speed humps
• 11 kerb extensions
• 4 pedestrian refuge islands
• 2 barriers.

The consultation and implementation of the 40 km/hr speed restrictions, planned for mid 2007, has been deferred.
