In Stage 4: Implementation
Summary
The Council is combining the following projects in the Lambton area:
- SaferRoads - to improve road safety
- City Development - to enhance the Lambton Quay area in general
The combined project has a total budget of over $3 million with SaferRoads contributing over $1 million.
Speed Limit
The speed limit has now been lowered to 30 km/hr in order to help make the city safer.
It applies to all vehicles at all times in the following areas:
- Lambton Quay
- Willis Street - between Lambton Quay and Manners Street
- Customhouse Quay - between Lambton Quay and Hunter Street
- Bunny Street - between Lambton Quay and Featherston Street
- Mercer Street
- the Lambton Interchange.
