In Stage 4: Implementation

Summary

Construction has now been completed.

New median islands, kerb extensions and speed humps have been built to reduce speed and improve pedestrian links and there have been changes to some road markings.

Four new sets of traffic lights have been installed at the following intersections:

• Parkvale Road and Karori Road
• Karori Road and Old Karori Road
• Birdwood Street and Chaytor Street
• Donald Street and Karori Road.

The road safety changes have been developed and modified over the 18 months in consultation with the community.
