Dog Training Sessions

27.10.09
Return to List

Is your pooch running riot, do the words 'sit', 'stay' and 'fetch' fall on deaf dog ears? The Council and DSS Animal Management are sponsoring free classes providing professional advice on basic dog control and owner responsibilities.

These free training sessions, for the owners of dogs registered in Wellington City, have been introduced to socialise and train dogs with little or no formal training. Professional dog trainers assess each dog in order to gauge their degree of 'good manners', obedience and overall standard of training. Owners are given feedback and guidance where necessary.

The free two-hour sessions will be held in Kilbirnie at St Patrick's Primary School in Childers Terrace over the weekends of 7, 8, 21 and 22 November. Spaces are limited so be sure to reserve a place for you and your dog now.

For bookings and further information, you can contact DSS Animal Management on (04) 388 8212 or visit their website.
