Profile

Areas of responsibility include:

• approving and monitoring the Council's list of hearings commissioners under the Resource Management Act 1991
  
• supervising the conduct of hearings on regulatory matters and making decisions on those hearings (eg hearings required for Dog Control and Fencing of Swimming Pools)
  
• facilitating the road stopping process
  
• approving leases to recreation and community groups on public land.
