Pick of the week: We're taking over some major transport projects

The Council is taking the lead on three former Let’s Get Wellington Moving projects to create a more liveable city, and improve the ways people get around Wellington.The projects are:

  • The Golden Mile retail and commercial strip, starting at the entertainment hub of Courtenay Place and working along Willis and Manners Streets to the Parliament end of Lambton Quay.
  • The commuter route along Thorndon Quay from Bunny St to the Aotea Quay overbridge at 87 Hutt Road.
  • The Aotea Quay roundabout.
